Saving the planet one clean up at a time.

TPCU: Rapa Nui Island.

This was one of the best experiences we had so far. Being part of the clean up done in the island of Rapa Nui, Chile, organized by Rito, centro de valorizacion y educacion para el reciclaje, was amazing, not only because once again we were able to take a good amount of garbage out of the beaches, but also because we got to know the fantastic and friendly people that live in that island.

TPCU: Malapascua island, the PhilippinesTPCU cleaned

TPCU, cleaned Bonty beach in the beautiful island of Malapascua. If there was something very remarkable about this clean up, was how incredible people that lives in that island are. Not only they were welcome, but also as soon as they saw us cleaning the beach, they came to help out, offering us extra plastic bags, and sacs to put the garbage in, water and any help needed. The island is fantastic, beautiful like many in The Philippines, and well known for Skuba diving.

TPCU: CHINESE SCHOOL OF SAN DIEGO CLEAN UP, LA JOLLA, CALIFORNIA

As many people know already, TPCU not only organizes and sponsor cleanups, but participates and help in many organized by other entities or people. We will use the Chinese school of San Diego as an example. TPCU and many other volunteers helped to clean La Jolla beach and enjoyed the activities organized by the Chinese school, afterwards, like learning how to fly kites on the sky, so popular in China. All in all was a fantastic day on the beach, although it is hard to see that beach dirty ever, we got quite a good amount of micro plastics out of it.

TPCU: BARCELONA, SPAIN

Barcelona is a great city with beautiful beaches. The city hall keeps them very clean all year long, and although you can see and find micro plastics still on them, we can say, they are very clean, especially considering how busy those beaches are. But there are places where is very difficult to keep them clean, and those are what is locally known as “los espigones”. Is for that reason, when The Planet Clean Up found out, there was an organized cleanup in one of the Barcelona’s espigones, the whole TPCU volunteer team travel to “La Mar Bella” to be part of the whole clean up.

TPCU: Fort Montague beach, Nassau, Bahamas

It is well known, that The Bahamas is a paradise with incredible beaches and turquoise waters, but after two hurricanes some of the Bahamas beaches were loaded with trash, and TPCU mission The Bahamas traveled there to clean some of the beaches.

TPCU: El Combate beach, Puerto Rico

Combate beach is a well-known, and popular choice amongst locals. Its sparkling blue waters and reefs turn pristine shores into a paradise for diving enthusiasts. I strongly recommend this site to enjoy the best sunsets in Puerto Rico. For that reason and for the love to Puerto Rico beaches, a group of TPCU volunteers make a phenomenal job cleaning the beach.
